Privacy-first by default.

Summary

KeepSim is designed as a local-first utility. We do not require an account, we do not operate a server that receives your records, and we do not run analytics or ad tracking. If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your own private iCloud container, which we cannot access.

Information you enter in the app

You may choose to enter phone number labels, phone numbers, carrier or platform names, renewal dates, keep-alive rules, notes, and action links. This information is stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, the same information is also stored in your private iCloud container — see iCloud sync below.

Information we collect

KeepSim does not operate any server that receives your records. We do not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, location data, contacts, message content, or call history.

If you email support, we receive the email address you use and any information you choose to include in the message.

iCloud sync

KeepSim supports optional synchronization of your data across your devices through Apple iCloud. When you enable iCloud sync in the app's Settings, the data you enter in the app — phone number labels, phone numbers, carriers, renewal dates, keep-alive rules, notes, action links, and app settings — is stored in your own private CloudKit container (iCloud.com.keepsim.app).

The private container is the per-user, per-Apple-ID tier of CloudKit. Your records are accessible only to you when signed in to your Apple ID. They are not visible to other KeepSim users, and they are not accessible to KeepSim as the developer. Apple handles encryption in transit and at rest under its own terms. You can turn iCloud sync off at any time in the app's Settings. Disabling the toggle takes effect the next time you open KeepSim — the change is not instant during the current session because the sync configuration is bound at launch. To stop syncing immediately, also turn off iCloud for KeepSim in your system Settings (Settings → [your name] → iCloud → KeepSim). Copies already in your iCloud remain there until you delete them — see Your rights and data deletion below.

Purchases

If the app offers in-app purchases, payments are processed by Apple. KeepSim does not receive your full payment card details. Apple shares with us only the anonymized transaction status needed to unlock and restore your purchase.

Notifications and actions

KeepSim may schedule local notifications on your device when you allow notifications. Communication actions, such as SMS or phone links, require user confirmation and are handled by iOS and the relevant Apple apps or third-party apps. KeepSim does not send messages or place calls on your behalf without an explicit confirmation step.

Your rights and data deletion

Because KeepSim stores your records on your device and, optionally, in your private iCloud container, you control your data directly:

• Delete individual records. Swipe to delete in the list, or use the delete action in the detail view.
• Delete all app data on this device. Uninstall KeepSim.
• Delete iCloud copies. On iPhone or iPad: Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → KeepSim → Delete from iCloud. This removes the data from your private iCloud container across all your devices.
• Access and export. All records are visible in-app. A structured export option is on our roadmap.
• Support questions or rights requests. Email support@keepsim.app. We respond from a personal mailbox and do not maintain a separate customer database.

We retain support email correspondence for as long as needed to resolve your request, typically up to 12 months, after which messages are deleted.

Regional notices

European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland (GDPR / UK GDPR)

The legal bases for processing under GDPR are: (a) performance of a contract — providing the app features you request, including iCloud sync if you enable it; (b) legitimate interest — responding to support emails you send us. We do not transfer your records to any third party; iCloud transfers are performed by Apple under Apple's own terms.

You have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to processing. To exercise these rights, contact support@keepsim.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

California (CCPA / CPRA)

In the preceding 12 months, KeepSim has not sold or shared personal information, and we do not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not provide a "Do Not Sell or Share" link because there is nothing to opt out of. California residents retain the right to know, delete, and correct personal information; to exercise these rights, email support@keepsim.app.

Children

KeepSim is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Website

This website is intended for app information, support, and App Store review. It is hosted by Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process standard web request information (such as IP address and user agent) needed to deliver and protect the website. We do not place analytics or advertising cookies on this site.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, when we add a feature that changes how data is handled. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted in the app or on this page.
